Rear extension to family home in Beckenham.
An asymmetrical pitched roof responded to the neighbouring context and orientation of the property. Exposed roof rafters increase perceived loftiness in this new family space and slim-line bifold doors maximise natural daylight and offer a direct connection to the garden.
The ground floor layout reconfiguration included the segregation of the front room as a grown-up space, with the middle and new extended space to the rear accommodating a larger kitchen and dining space with connected family playroom.
