Micro extension and full refurbishment of maisonette garden flat in Herne Hill.

A fervent cook in the tiniest of kitchens; our client’s brief required every new inch of space to work extremely hard. Carving space out of an oversized bathroom, Mimodo rebalanced the floorpan to make way for a comfortable yet compact new kitchen with a direct relationship to the patio garden. A small courtyard was created, facilitating a visual connection between the bedroom and the rear of the property and providing a sense of depth to the property.

The entire property was fully refurbished, with particular care to retain a balance between traditional and contemporary design features.
